Level-Up! LIVE aims to bring the gaming community under one roof to collectively share their passion and prowess for games such Ragnarok, ROSE, RF Online and Freestyle. LIVE is the epitome of online gaming as we know it today.

LU LIVE will also be the official tournament avenue where the greatest LU gamers compete for over 1.5 MILLION pesos in cash and prizes. The grand event will be on September 30 to October 1, 2006 at the World Trade Center, Roxas Blvd, Manila. Mark your calendars!

To begin the epic battles, the official website of LIVE is now online and will be the official source for information, tournament rules, schedules, prizes and other interactive content.

From March to September, guilds, clans and teams from the 4 games will duke it out in each of the grueling tournament qualifiers, playoffs and semi-finals. Here’s an overview of the tournament rules for each game:

RAGNAROK: RPC 2006 Brotherhood of Legends

This year, RPC 2006 continues the annual tradition. Guilds in Ragnarok Online will take one of two roads to the Grand Finals. The first path, “Agit Lords”, will be an online competition where the best guilds score points through acquisition of guild castles (called “Agits” inside the game). During weekly War of the Emperium siege modes, the guilds that successfully capture and/or defend their Agits will score points. At the end of the season, the top guilds per server (pRO has 8) will compete with the Wild Card finalists to determine the Server Champions.

The second road to the RPC finals is the Wild Card. In the Wild Card portion of RPC 2006, players can vote for their favorite server guilds online using their top-up game cards. The top guilds at the end of the voting period will then go head-to-head against the Agit Lords for the right to be crowned the server champion.

The eight server champions (from Chaos, Odin, Loki, Iris, Fenrir, Sarah, Urdr and Lydia) will then qualify for Grand Finals at the World Trade Center.

ROSE LION’S DEN EXTREME 2006

King of the Lion’s Den Extreme is a PVP tournament event to be held at the LU LIVE Grand Finals. A total of 8 teams, 5 from King of the Lion’s Den and 3 from ROSE Royal court, will battle it out to determine the ultimate King of the Lion’s Den Extreme 2006.

The Lion's Den will be held from December 2005 to July 2006. There will be four (4) tournament seasons for Lion's Den.

Each season, 4 clans from each server will battle to determine a champion: 1 for Polaris and 1 for Sirius. Then the server champs will meet in Tala server for a big battle to determine the season's King of the Lion's Den. There will be One (1) Clan winner every season. These clans then compete with the 3 winners of the Royal Court (an online voting contest similar to the RO Wild Card) at the Finals.

RF NOVUS ELITE SQUAD TOURNAMENT (NEST)

RF Guilds must form Elite Squads of 8 members each. Each Elite Squad must pass the tough criteria for eligibility. Team Captains must submit their Squads to tournament officials for verification. Slots will be on a FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED basis. There will be four (4) Season Qualifiers throughout NEST.

After the culmination of the server season qualifiers, 4 Squads each from Accretia, Cora and Bellato will advance to the playoffs for their servers (Altrax and Nexus). At the end of the Playoff period, Racial Server Representatives (1 Squad each per race for each server) will have been chosen through bloody combat and will advance to the Inter-Server Finals and eventually to the Grand Finals at the WTC.

FREESTYLE ALL-STARS 2006

The “Hip-Hoop” gaming community will dribble and dunk their way to the first-ever online basketball tournament. Dubbed Freestyle All-Stars 2006, this competition will feature the best ranked players – the All-Stars. But for those who aren’t ranked, fret not! The tournament also has an “Open” division where teams can go to official qualifiers at partner cafes all throughout the country. For more info, just point yo’ browsers to the live website.

COSPLAY

1. Background


Cosplaying has always been an integral part of any Level Up! event. For one day, Level Up! players get to live out their fantasy and go as their online character, having fun with other players who share their passion for the game.

This year, Level Up! cosplayers will be given the royal treatment as we deliver the biggest cosplaying event in Level Up! history. Cosplayers of all ages are invited to join the LIVE cosplay happening on October 1 at the World Trade Center . Go as your Ragnarok Online, ROSE Online, RF Online or Freestyle character, do the catwalk onstage with your barkada and show us and thousands of other people what you and your costume is made of.

For fame, exciting prizes and most important of all, having fun while showing your love for the game; let's cosplay LIVE on October 1!

2. Eligibility & Registration
1. Anyone can participate in the LIVE cosplay. If the participant is a player of any Level Up! games, he or she can also receive in-game items as prize(s).
2. REGISTRATION: To register, please download the application form. Fill it up completely and send it by email to live@levelupgames.ph with subject heading "Cosplay registrant". You may also send the form via snail mail the to 11th Flr., Pacific Star Bldg., Makati Ave. cor. Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., Makati City 1200.
3. Contestants will receive a confirmation e-mail from us and a registration number for record purposes. Kindly keep this registration number.
4. Pre-registered participants must confirm attendance on or before 12 noon of October 1 by appearing in the Cosplay registration table for them to be formally included in the list of participants. Those who fail to confirm on the said time will have their pre registration voided. They will have to register again on-site.
5. On-site registrants will need to register on the cosplay registration area on the event day itself. The difference between online and on-site registration is that the former takes away the hassle of filling up the form (especially in costume) whereas you have to go through all the application process on-the-spot for the latter. Note also that on-site registrants are required to bring pictures of the character that they are portraying.
6. There will only be a limit of 100 confirmed registrants for the cosplay competition.
3. Duration
1. Registration shall be on October 01, 2006 on the event venue itself from 8:00 AM to 1: 00 PM. Note that there are several categories (see below). Registration for each category is separate.

4. General Conditions
GENERAL LIVE COSPLAY GUIDELINES
1. The characters which you will be cosplaying should be characters from the following: Ragnarok Online, R.O.S.E. Online, Rising Force Online or Freestyle. Characters from other online games are strictly not allowed.
2. There will be TWO (2) Categories for Cosplay, SOLO and GROUP (see separate guidelines below).
3. No corrosive or easily flammable substances are allowed. Although you can still use fake blood or confetti, please make sure the mess will be at a minimum. This is also for the safety of the cosplayer who will be going onstage with you.
4. Microphones will be provided for the cosplayers.
5. If you plan to carry a weapon, you must conform to the following guidelines on props:
* Real weapons are strictly NOT allowed. If your character needs to have a weapon, you can make it out of cardboard or wood (this also gives you points for craftsmanship!). Please inform us beforehand which props you will be bringing for the cosplay.
* All props should be kept/carried with the utmost caution. Level Up! will bear no responsibility towards any injury as a result of a cosplayer's carelessness.
6. Level Up! reserves the right to bar the usage of any props that may seem potentially dangerous and/or harmful.
7. No profanity or rude gestures will be tolerated onstage. This convention is for everyone, so let's keep it clean. You don't need to be rude to be funny. Those who will disregard this rule will be automatically disqualified and barred from entering any Level Up! cosplay event in the future.
8. Level Up! reserves the right to withdraw the rights of participation and/or props should one be found to break any of the aforementioned rules/regulations. Ignorance is no excuse.
9. The judges' decision is final, no appeals will be entertained.
10. Level Up! may photograph or film contestant entries at its discretion. Entry into this contest constitutes an agreement by the entrants to allow Level Up! to use their likeness/image, etc in any current/future advertisement, promotion, or product.
11. Employees of Level Up! and their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity are prohibited from joining the competition.

CATEGORY – (SOLO) GUIDELINES
1. A Solo Cosplay participant cannot be allowed to join the group cosplay category.
2. The judges will decide the final winners. A solo cosplayer could win in only one out of the four major categories.
3. All participants of the solo cosplay are eligible to win one of the special prizes, including the winners of the four major categories.
4. The criteria for judging will be:
1. Accuracy- How close the cosplayer's costume resembles those of the character he/she is cosplaying as (30%),
2. Craftsmanship – The amount of creativity given by the cosplayer in the construction of their accessories or props (30%),
3. Presentation – How well the cosplayer presented his/her character to the audience on stage (30%),
4. Audience Impact (10%).

CATEGORY – (GROUP) GUIDELINES
1. A group cosplay participant cannot be allowed to join another group even as a minor role actor. They will also not be allowed to join the solo cosplay category.
2. A group must consist of at least 3 members and no more than 7 members. All members who will perform on-stage must wear costumes from the following: Ragnarok Online, R.O.S.E. Online, RF Online or Freestyle. Characters from other online games are strictly not allowed.
3. All cosplay groups will be required to do a ‘skit’ on-stage. A skit must last at least 30 seconds to no more than 5 minutes in length. Your group can make a short play, sing, dance, or do a choreographed fight-scene on-stage. When you register your group, please submit the script you will be using so the organizers will be well-informed on what your group will be doing on-stage and advise you if it would be possible to perform them.
4. Microphones will be provided to the group if it is needed, but there will be no background music for your group's skit by default. You can provide your own background music (In CD audio format. Other formats such as MP3 or MIDI will not be accepted), but please give them to the organizers at least 3 hours before the program starts. Level Up! holds no responsibility towards any inconvenience caused as a result of faulty recording or music medium.
5. The criteria for judging will be: Accuracy- How close the group's costumes resembles those of the characters they are cosplaying as (25%), Craftsmanship – The amount of creativity given by the group in the construction of their accessories or props (25%), Presentation – How well the group presented their skit to the audience on stage (40%), & Audience Impact (10%).
6. The winning group will be awarded the Best RevoLUtionary Party.
